Day 5

Same today, went to the beach early. Unfortunately got too much sun and had to walk to walgreens to buy aloe. Had lunch near the beach, aranitas con pulpo. So good. Went back to the hotel and visited the pool for a few hours. After everyone showered the kids did not feel like walking so we ate at outback in the hotel. Tomorrow we are walking for dinner.

Day 4

Woke up early and had breakfast at the hotel. We walked to the beach at 9am even though it was overcast. We were the first people at the beach and the kids had a blast playing in the sand. We found 56 sand dollars in the water. We walked to lunch around 1pm. Then we went back to the hotel and played in the pool for a few more hours. We ended up eating a nice Puerto Rican meal and now it's off to bed.

Day 3

Checked out early after breakfast. Taxied over to next hotel on our stay. We couldn't check in but we could hang out in the pool until we could. Finally checked in and went walking. Made it to the beach and dipped our feet in the water. Walked some more and back to the hotrl. Tired of all the walking. Shouldn't vacation be relaxing.

Day 2

Woke up early and went down to breakfast. Hung around the hotel until it was time for the baptism. My brother and the baby came over around noon and we got to play with Gaby, she is such a cutie!! Walked up to the church. Uphill all the way. After the baptism walked up to El Jibarito for lunch, my second fave restaurant. Yes uphill again. Walked back down to hotel, downhill thankfully. Changed and went walking around El Paseo de la Princesa to get to La Puerta de San Juan, the old door to the city. Walked up to Ben & jerrys for ice cream and then back down to the hotel. My brother and the baby were with us and my son walked right next to the stroller the whole time holding the baby's hand.

Puerto Rico -Day 1

We arrived at 1 pm, took a taxi to the hotel. Checked in and took off for Lunch. We ate at The Bombonera, myfavorite place EVER!!! Then walked up to El Morro. The temperature must have been like 100 degrees. After walking up and down the fort we stopped and got some piraguas. Walked back down the hotel and hit the roof level pool.

If it works this well, is it really working

So another post about the dogs. As i may have mentioned before we had a visit from Animal control about our dogs barking. The thing i bought to deter barking, not only deters barking, but they no longer want to be outside.

Here's an example of how it used to be BTB (before the barking): the dogs would run outside excited. bark at the squirrels that dared enter our yard. they trotted to the fence. popped up on the fence and looked to make sure no squirrels were there. trotted to the other fence, looked to see if any golfers were around and barked at them to come over and pet them. trotted over to the other fence to see if the neighbors dog was out, if so barked at him to come over and play. chasing each other around, if one didn't want to play they would bark at each other to start fighting and frolicking in the yard. when tired of being outside they'd come to the door and scratch to be let in.

Here's how it us ATB: the dogs slowly amble out the door. sit in front of the door until someone lets them in.

how sad is that?? stupid neighbors.

Terrorism close to home

I just read in the newspaper that the egyptian student from florida received 15 years in prison for the video he created showing how to turn a remote control car into a detonator. he was arrested in august 2007 less than 10 miles from my house.

it doesn't matter where you live, can anyone really feel safe?
